The culture of design between research and territory
The Study Center promotes research, study, and the dissemination of design culture in its interactions with craftsmanship, fostering the encounter between scientific research, education, and design culture. Through research programmes, editorial activities, and cultural initiatives, it operates in Italy and internationally to enhance design as a discipline capable of generating knowledge, interpreting production processes, and building new relationships between material culture, technologies, and society. From this perspective, new economies and innovative forms of entrepreneurship can emerge, closely connected to places, their communities, and their knowledge heritage.

PLART Foundation
The PLART Foundation, A PLACE FOR ART, a Museum and Multimedia Space for Art • Design • Innovation, is the representative office of the Study Center. PLART is located in Naples, at Via Martucci, 48.
