Maria Pia Incutti

Founding member

Maria Pia Incutti is an entrepreneur and collector of contemporary art and design. At a young age, she won a public competition in the education sector and, after a brief experience as a teacher, entered the industrial world. For many years, she managed Accessori Elettrici e Telefonici Srl, part of the Paliotto Group, a company specializing in thermoplastic and thermosetting materials for electromechanical products.

She served as President of the Metalworking Industry Section of Naples and was a member of both the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Industrial Union of Naples for several terms.

Since the 1980s, she has combined her entrepreneurial career with a strong commitment to cultural initiatives. In the 1990s, she chaired Proscenio di Villa Patrizi Srl, overseeing the restoration of an eighteenth-century private theatre, where she promoted an intensive programme of avant-garde theatrical productions while supporting emerging Italian and international talent.

Since 1996, she has been President of CO.BE.C.AM, a consortium operating in the cultural heritage sector. The consortium has carried out the digital cataloguing of artefacts for some of Campania’s most important public museums on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and has contributed to the design and installation of the new wing of the Museum of Sannio.

Since 2015, she has served as President of A.E.T. Holding.

From 2008 to the present, Maria Pia Incutti has been actively engaged in the activities of the Plart Foundation, the museum institution she founded with the aim of promoting the culture of plastics and industrial design. Through the Foundation, she has sought to highlight the new perspectives opened up by the “material of wonders” while supporting research into bioplastics and their role in environmental sustainability.
