Born in 1968 in Trieste. He studied architecture in Venice and Dortmund. He graduated from IUAV University of Venice, where he developed his thesis project on the Herne Archaeological Museum. Since 1995, he has collaborated in teaching and research activities at IUAV in the fields of architecture, design, and international cooperation.

He has carried out personal research on the nature of materials as expressions of local cultures and traditions. He promotes research projects aimed at enhancing cultural and rural heritage, as well aseducational initiatives for childhood.

He works on strategic design for crafts and agriculture in Indonesia, Vietnam, Congo, Morocco, Madagascar, and, more recently, in Lebanon in collaboration with the Giovanni Paolo II Foundation and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.

He has received several awards, including recognition from ADI and UNESCO, for projects developed in the field of education.

In 2005, he was among the founding members of the Design Degree Course at the University of the Republic of San Marino (UNIRSM), where he was responsible first for the Drawing Workshop and later for the Product Design Workshop. Since 2009, he has been a professor there under a multi-year contract and, from 2015, has served as Deputy Director.

Together with Isotta Predieri and Andrea Cero, he founded Miquadra, an architecture and design studio that develops architectural projects, exhibitions, products, and interiors for companies including Electrolux, POSTE SM, ASSOBDM, and DVP. In collaboration with Lafert, Miquadrareceived the 2014 ADI Compasso d’Oro Honourable Mention for the HP electric motor project.
